The facade finishing coat must resist the weather effects for a long time and thus ensure the durability of the facade system. It protects the other layers of the facade system from harmful effects from the environment (wetting by rainwater, light exposure, especially the UV part of the light spectrum, chemical aggression due to air pollution, etc.). At the same time, the finishing coats also have an aesthetic purpose, as they are available in a wide range of colour shades, textures, treatments, granulations and in other decorative designs.
Finishing render finishes are most often distinguished according to the type of binder they contain: silicone, acrylic, silicate or mineral:
Silicone render finish
The silicone binder provides superior vapor permeability and water repellency at the same time. Render finish keeps these properties throughout its lifetime, which is why it is the most permanent protection of the facade surface against weather effects. The render finish achieves good strength and elasticity, perfectly tolerates elongation and surface tension, and it is particularly suitable for surfaces exposed to increased humidity and more intense environmental influences. Adhesion of dust and other dirt to the surface is reduced, so the facade remains clean for a long time.
Acrylic render finish
In addition to good water repellency, acrylic render finish offers the widest range of colour shades, including dark and intense shades. It is the most common choice, which is why the most different textures and granulations are available for final treatment.
Silicate render finish
Silicate render finish is characterized by high vapor permeability, and due to the low proportion of organic substances, it is suitable also for the treatment and renovation of listed buildings.
Mineral render finish
Mineral render finish is suitable for surfaces where exceptional vapor permeability is of key importance. It is completely non-combustible and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Due to lower water-repellent protection and more difficult installation, it is used less often.
"Tasks" of finishing or decorative render finish
JUBIZOL decorative render finish is the final and most exposed component that protects the entire facade system from the weather Only high-quality and durable protection ensures the long life of the entire facade.
JUBIZOL decorative render finish:
- Protects against rain and humidity,
- Protects against the wind,
- Enables the removal of humidity from the system,
- Resists hail and frost,
- Tolerates contractions and expansions of other components,
- Protects the surface from algae and mould,
- Compensates for surface tension,
- Prevents the accumulation of dirt,
- Has exceptional UV resistance,
- Maintains the original colour shade for a long time,
- Prevents excessive IR heating of the facade,
- Transfers mechanical loads from the environment,
- Enables a wide range of colour shades and textures,
- Contributes to additional insulation,
- Complements the building aesthetically.
