Suitable for
use in interior spaces, where we want to create the appearance of a fine surface with a slight relief.
System description
The EGEO technique helps us create the appearance of a fine surface, with a slightly gentle relief, which gives the surface a more pronounced pattern under a certain angle of observation or incidence of light. The barely visible pattern structure seems discrete yet very noble like the Egeo natural marble. When applying the ordinary EGEO technique, use one shade of DECOR Marmorin, while the more demanding application consists of several different shades of DECOR Marmorin, which together form the final aesthetical appearance.

Technique instructions

Surface Preparation:

  1. The surface must be dry, firm, and free from stains, oils, and similar impurities.
  2. Smooth the surfaces with DECOR Smooth Relief or JUBOLIN P15 to a total thickness of 3 mm. After the layer has dried, sand it down and remove the dust.
  3. Apply an ACRYL Emulsion, diluted with water in a 1:1 ratio, onto the dried layer of DECOR Smooth Relief or JUBOLIN P15.

Application Process:

  1. Using a trowel, apply DECOR Marmorin in a very thin layer (approximately 0.1–0.5 mm) over an area of 0.5–1 m².
  2. Apply a second layer of DECOR Marmorin in the same way, polishing it to a high shine.
  3. Apply a thin layer (0.5 mm) of DECOR Marmorin onto the trowel, gently lay the trowel flat on the surface, and, using circular motions, lightly transfer the material onto the dried previous layer.
  4. Once the surface is completely dry, gently remove any peaks with a stainless steel trowel. This can also be done with fine sandpaper (grain size 200–300).
  5. Using a synthetic cloth, apply DECOR Marmorin Shine to the completely dry surface and polish it to a shine. Repeat the process.
