Three solutions for winter installation of facades

We present three simple solutions which make it possible for projects with the installation of facades to be completed also in winter which means extending the facade installation season even into the coldest months of the year. With these solutions, there will be no more worries about unpredictable weather, and the installation season will not need to end in autumn.

1. Solution for installation at temperatures up to -10 °C

Installation at temperatures up to -10 °C is possible with JUBIZOL adhesive mortar winter (JUBIZOL adhesive mortar winter). With its unique formula, it enables accelerated drying of the mortar even in conditions with increased air humidity. A special additive prevents the mortar from freezing before it hardens throughout its entire thickness.

  • It is micro-reinforced;
  • It provides good strength properties,
  • It offers exceptional elasticity and
  • It is highly vapor permeable.

2. Solution for accelerated hardening of render finish – odourless

Another solution for extending the facade installation season is the winter additive JUBIZOL Finish winter additive. It ensures accelerated hardening of render finishes.

  • It is odourless, i.e. without ammonia-based additives!
  • It ensures the resistance of render finish to rainwater 24 hours after application.
  • It enables the possibility of installing render finish at temperatures from 1 °C to 15 °C.
  • It enables the possibility of installing render finish at a relative air humidity of up to 95 %.

3. Solution for working at low temperatures and high humidity

JUBIZOL Unixil finish winter S 1.5 is a siloxanized smooth render finish that allows installation at temperatures from + 1 °C to + 15 °C, and at higher relative humidity of up to 95 %.

Comp. B: JUBIZOL Finish winter additive:

  • It is resistant to rainwater 24 hours after application,
  • It provides superior water repellency,
  • It has very good vapor permeability and
  • It offers long-term resistance to algae and mould infection.
